WalkInBeautyI would have thought you were insane if you would have told me twenty years ago that I would follow God’s path for me to become a healer. I was way too caught up in the drama of corporate America. Back then I had never heard of the words “personal growth” and if I would have, I would most certainly have equated it with financial gain while climbing up the corporate ladder.

Over the years I have found that I am the type that needs to be hit over the head with a two-by-four in order to actually take the time to stop and listen to what God has to say. It has taken MANY two-by-four’s to get me on the right path… My husband’s two traumatic brain injuries, our infertility issues, a high-risk pregnancy, our differently-abled daughter who has endured over 22 major surgeries in her 16 years of life, the loss of our business, etc.

I consider myself a devout Christian, but little by little I found myself with questions that organized religion simply could not answer for me. I have grown exponentially on a spiritual level as God has lead me to discover some truths on my own by opening my mind to worlds I had never known before. One of my favorite truths is that God is known by a thousand names, but is truly the un-nameable one. He is different things to different people and we should all love and accept each other for these perceived inherent differences.

Many concepts have stuck with me during my decade long road to become a healer, but the four that have changed my life the most are the following practices: non-judgment, non-attachment, non-suffering and walking in beauty. Very hard to do at times, but very life-affirming when you can. Let’s break these concepts down…

Non-Judgment:
I am definitely my own worst critic. Oftentimes those little self-defeating words of “un-wisdom” can stifle and leave you literally paralyzed. I don’t think God put us on this earth to break ourselves down. God always wants the best for us. God also didn’t put us on this earth to break each other down. When I think about how many times I have teased, gossiped, manipulated, and judged others it truly makes me sick. I can’t change the past, but I can however vow to be a better person today, tomorrow, and in the future.

Non-Attachment:
Why is it that we are attached to so many “things” that we truly haven’t a clue to who we really are at soul level? We are attached to beliefs that might not even be our own, relationships that may not be in our best interest, cluttered with too many belongings, stuck in our story of victimhood, etc. I remember that slap in the face I received when I realized I had been stuck in my very own story for over a decade. I had no idea who I was – I was a wife, a mother, a volunteer, etc. – all these “labels” we put on ourselves, but I had no idea who I was at soul level. It took a lot of work to peel away the layers of “woe is me bad stuff always happens” and to realize that I was a co-creator with God of everything that happened in my life. Everything comes down to the choices we make whether we believe it or not.

Non-Suffering:
I love the saying “Pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional”. It is very true that you will at times have pain in your life, but it is a choice as to whether you suffer or not. When you look at the reasons for suffering, many times it is because of an attachment to how you think things should have gone in the past, or how you think things should go in the future. When we release our attachments, many times the suffering is alleviated. God knows what is in our best interest far better than we do. It is easy for us to get stuck in the moment and not have the vision needed to see the big picture as God does. The best thing to do is to trust with unwavering faith and believe that all will always work out for your highest good.

Walking in Beauty:
When we practice the concepts of non-judgment, non-attachment, and non-suffering we naturally begin to walk in beauty! Walking in beauty is all about being in the present moment and living each day to its fullest. It is about expecting, and appreciating, only good things to happen. Just as in the Law of Attraction, what you think about comes about (both good and bad), and if you take the actions necessary to walk in beauty, more beauty will be given to you in larger and larger quantities over time.

For the past several decades, every night before I go to bed, and each morning as I wake up, I ask God to use me as a vessel to share his love, and a vehicle to spread his word. Through my healing modalities I do everything humanly possible to make sure to keep my vessel clean in order for God to do His work through me. I am humbled and grateful for all that God has given me, and that he allows me to be the vessel upon which many miracles have occurred for my clients and myself.

I always stay open to where God leads me, and feel incredibly blessed that God is using me as a vehicle to spread His love along with my good friends Kellie, Kelly and Kim at www.TheDayOfLove.org where we help others strengthen their relationship to God, themselves, and others.

I am passionate about helping others live their absolute best life now. Please feel free to also check out my website at www.TheTruthOfYourDivinity.com where you can download my free report: “FINALLY FREE – 7 Proven Steps To Take Charge Of Your Life !!!”
